Start Building Your Defibrillation Progam

Visit the topics above to educate yourself about Sudden Cardiac Arrest, the role of Automated External Defibrillators, and learn how to develop an effective program for your organization.
What is a "Defibrillation Program?"

Having an AED is only one part of helping a cardiac arrest victim. For an AED to be most effective, there needs to be a response plan that recognizes the emergency and brings the AED with a trained person to the victim within three to four minutes. A defibrillator that arrives too late, or without a person that knows how to use it, is of no use at all.

More then Just an AED, a defibrillation program brings together AEDs, planning, training, and support to provide a reliable means of responding to a victim of sudden cardiac arrest within a response time goal.
